Asset tracking is managing availability and serviceability of assets. Every company uses assets on a daily basis. An "asset" is any item that is used internally, such as equipment, reusable containers and tools. A properly integrated asset management system can help a company accurately and efficiently track any of its assets. An asset is tracked as an individual item, having its own unique barcode label or RFID tag.
